This religious illiteracy in America now has tragically developed the feeling that separation of church and state should be unassailable thus creating a moral relativity which has had devastating impacts on our country. This literacy is the understanding of the beliefs of people being able to justify ones religion by means of external evidences. Most Americans cannot do this.
